I just simply celebrated my 45th birthday last 13 April 2010 at home. No alcohol, no barkada, but, I celebrated the day with my wife, daughter, and brother-in-law eating with the traditional and ever long lasting menu, the pancit canton....
During my childhood days, I remember when it is my birthday, my beloved mother used to bring me to the church to light a candle, kneel down, pray, and thank God for the gift of life.
I thank God for reaching 45. What a year of feeling deep within as I have already experienced so many things in life, it might be to the fullest perhaps.
At 45, I have already received lots of graces and blessings from above and persons around. I have also experienced the downs of life unexpectedly and expectedly. Life is indeed full of challenges and excitements.
Though I have already started correcting my past mistakes in life, at 45, I should and must still continue to do good for God, country, others, family, and myself.
I feel different now trying to evade childish ways. I don't want to waste time doing something unworthwhile in results. Yes, time is gold. I think it's not yet too late for me to start for a new and good life style...
I still love to play guitar...and sing a song.....
Just like a 45 caliber gun, I aim for a bullseye.
Though I have already learned a lot of things in life, I am still hungry to learn for more...

The graduates and the proud parents

Two of my children, Kirk and Sharla, graduated from high school and grade 6 respectively. They marched and received their diplomas and medals.
It was 26 March 2010 that Sharla completed her intermediate level of education.
I filed a leave of absence to attend or witness my daughter received her diploma and medal for being the first honorable mention in her class. I saw how happy she was and how we, her mother and I, felt proud of her.
After her graduation, we traveled by boat to Iloilo City to attend our eldest son, Kirk's graduation (30 March 2010) in the secondary level while Ven's (my second child) recognition in second year high school.
It was another moment of bonding with our young boys in the province residing with their Lolo, Lola, Titas, and Titos since both started their education.

After those memorable events, I felt that time traveled so fast. Seeing our children grown up, as if it was just yesterday that these children were just cradled with our arms.

Reaching the Philippine Pali
It was not a personal trip nor it appeared in my wildest dreams that I finally reached the Philippine Pali.
From Sagada, Mt Province to Baguio City, we have to stop for a souvenir shots at Cattubo, Atok Benguet where Philippine Pali, the highest point of the Philippine road system, is located. That which height is measured at 7,400 ft or 2286 meters above sea level.
Just when we unloaded ourselves from the van, I could hear the whistling sound of the wind blowing around the place and I could feel the coolness of the weather penetrating my entire body. What an amazing scenery to see, I thought I was in another country.
If you would reside in this area, you wouldn't need to purchase refrigerator or air-condition. This could lessen power consumption.
Seeing the displayed vegetables around all really looked fresh and green.
I felt I was on top of the world feeling not afraid to fall. What a fresh air to breath and beautiful view to see.
I could not count how many twists and turns, ups and downs before we reached the place.
I could not sleep on wheels because the views were so enticing to my eyes.
Thanks to the request of our photo assistance by DTI-CAR especially to Dorie and her husband as the coordinator and guide of the trip. Without them, the travel could not have been realized.
